We make lots of images each year at the Concert of Colors, but sometimes it's only when we come home and actually start looking at our images after downloading them into the computer that we notice something we didn't really see at the time we made the original image.
I concentrated on making sure I focused on the subjects and tried to minimize camera movement in the low light as I captured images of a local band called the Infatuations during the hot July night...but I didn't notice how clearly I'd captured the flag-themed lenses in sun glasses the lead singer wore that evening until I'd more closely examined my images several days later.
This particular image took first place in Color General, Beginner Division competition for August 2015 at the Motor City Camera Club.
