Major Cedar Point fans know and love the northern Ohio amusement park for its roller coasters, exciting thrill rides and family-friendly attractions.
New rides and attractions debut each season at the park, but did you know that Cedar Point has been providing thrills, chills and lots of fun on the shores of Lake Erie for more than 140 years?
Today's twenty-first century park looks a lot different than the beer garden/dance floor/bathing beach attraction that opened at this site near the end of the nineteenth century, but I found plenty of evidence of the park's long history during my most recent visit there.
