Zooming in on a pattern for a more abstract image always fascinates me, and I've always enjoyed making black-and-white images.
Here's an image I made of a fern at Hartwick Pines near Grayling, Michigan that I included in yesterday's post about the park.
The fern was pretty enough, but it was the pattern of the shadow it cast on the fallen log below it that really interested me.
Lightroom software makes it easy enough to make a black-and-white version of the image, too.
Which version do you like best?
