Tim and I often take photos of the same locations as we usually travel together, but we both have different approaches to making images.
I usually approach photography as a means to tell or illustrate a particular story. I'm often composing a story in my head as I take photos, and my collection of photos always includes images of signs that I take as a means of note-taking or organizing my photos.
Tim doesn't really share my affection for taking pictures of signs, and I think he is more likely to take photos simply because a scene catches his eye or he wants to experiment a bit with his equipment or try a new technique.
We both have a nice collection of photos from our recent visit to Sauder Village, a living history site in northwest Ohio, and I thought it might be fun to see how similar, or dissimilar, some of our views of the visit turned out.
My take on the scene is the first one of each pair, Tim's take on it is the second photo of each pair.
You can check out more of Tim's photos at his Web Page and Smug Mug site.
Thanks to Debbie Dubrow of Delicious Baby for creating and coordinating Photo Friday to link travel photos and blog posts across the Web.
Thanks to Sauder Village for providing village admission, lodging and meals during our recent visit for review, with no further compensation. I was free to express my own opinions about the stay and experiences, and the opinions expressed here are mine.
