Ohio's northern lakeshore becomes a hot spot for living history this summer as celebrations leading up to the 200th anniversary of Commodore Oliver Perry's great victory at the Battle of Lake Erie kick into high gear this spring and summer.
Perry's great naval victory in September of 1813 was a major battle in the war and a turning point in the war for Americans as they gained control of Lake Erie.
