This little fellow perched patiently and quietly on the hand of Ryan Jacob, naturalist at the Trautman Nature Center in Maumee Bay State Park, while a group of travel writers gathered round to ask questions and take photos.

Check out yesterday's post for the full story of my most recent visit to the nature center.

Thanks to Debbie Dubrow of Delicious Baby for creating and coordinating Photo Friday to link travel photos and blog posts across the Web.
Thanks to Xanterra Parks and Resorts and Maumee Bay State Park Lodge, which provided lodging, meals and on-site activities for my review, with no further compensation. I was free to express my own opinion about my stay and experiences, and the opinions expressed here are mine.

I've enjoyed reading your series on Maumee Bay State Park. I've never been there and I'm only a short trip away! You've given me ideas of what to do when and if I do make it. :)

Glad you're enjoying my Maumee Bay SP articles. There is a lot to do at the State Park...and there are a lot of things to do in nearby Toledo as well. I've got a few more Toledo stories to post in coming weeks, too!
