Keeping up with Midwest Guest via new email newsletter

I wondered how I should celebrate the fourth anniversary of Midwest Guest.

Cake and ice cream are always nice, but I wanted something a little more lasting to mark the milestone.

So, I decided to do something I've talked about doing for ages. I'm launching a Midwest Guest email newsletter to coincide with my blog's anniversary in early August.

The initial publication plan is to do a short email newsletter every other month.

Planned features for first few newsletters include: short reviews of Web sites or applications I find particularly useful for Midwest travel and research; occasional reviews of Midwest-related books, articles or music; round-up lists of Midwest Guest posts by topic; previews of upcoming Midwest Guest posts; and general news about the region.

We're still pretty much in the beta stage at this point, so I'm especially interested hear what you want to see in the newsletter so I can improve it into a publication Midwest fans will really look forward to reading.
