I love taking photos of the same thing from several different angles and distances, and I especially like this small group of photos I took of the dome at the McKinley Presidential Memorial in Canton, Ohio.
This red-white-and-blue skylight was part of the original design for the memorial, but a clear glass skylight took its place instead the memorial's original construction in the early 1900s.
Glass specialists used designer Harold Van Buren Magonigle's original plans to create this 12-foot diameter skylight to replace the clear glass version during a 1976 restoration.
I have to believe the stained glass version looks so much nicer than a clear glass skylight. What do you think?
Check out my story from yesterday about the memorial and its construction.

Great photos - I think the stained glass is stunning - can't imagine that anything else would have looked as good!

I'm with y'all. I can't imagine that the clear glass version was any where near as pretty. Thanks for stopping by :)
