Summer is a great time to catch some live music from some great local bands, and many gigs take place at free festivals!
I saw Detroit's own Motor Honey at the 2010 Berkley Art Bash. I loved the band's funky, bluesy blend of rock. I also liked the fact that they played a lot of their own songs interspersed with some fun covers, so I bought their CD and took it home last year so Tim could hear them as well. When I saw that Motor Honey was playing the Berkley street fair again this year, I made sure Tim and I both went over for the band's scheduled set.
