I had no idea there was a Michigan Sports Hall of Fame or that it was in the bowels of Cobo Hall.

Hopefully, they'll find a more suitable home. As you said, Detroit has an amazing sports tradition, it's sad to see it "honored" in this way.

Becks-The only reason we were really aware of the hall was because we used to park on the roof of Cobo for Whaler hockey games when the team played in Cobo as the Ambassadors...and later at the Joe. The hall is sort of around the corner from one of the escalator landings.
I took these photos in January, during the Auto Show. So you can see that, even when there is a big event in Cobo, these plaques really don't seem to draw visitors.
