That's a gorgeous pic! I'm impressed that you pulled this off with a point-and-click as my fireworks photos generally come out blurry without a tripod.

I took tons of photos that night...and I got one or two fireworks shots that I thought looked decent.

What is it they say? Even a blind squirrel will find an acorn once in a while? :P

Oh, and the tip I once heard that often works with me when I'm shooting with a hand-held camera in a difficult situation...hold your breath, then click the shutter before you exhale.

Beautiful shot! I'm usually not brave enough to take pictures of something like this, but yours turned out great!

What a great shot! I showed it to little (22 month old) D and she was thrilled. She saw her first fireworks at 4th of July this year, and she talks about them a couple of times a week, so this was one photo that she enjoyed as much as I did.
